Hangzhou Normal University Medical College located in city of Hangzhou(50 minutes by G Train from Shanghai), Capital of Zhejiang Province, has grown out of the former Hangzhou School of Zhejiang Medical University. In July2001, approved by Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government, it was merged into Hangzhou Teachers College founded in 1908 and became Hangzhou Teachers College Medical College. In March 2007, it was renamed Hangzhou Normal University Medical College asHangzhou Teacher College was renamed Hangzhou NormalUniversity.In carrying forward the century-long fine tradition of Hangzhou Normal University and promoting the spirit of the “loyal, diligent, truth-seeking and innovative” motto, the Medical College will rely on the disciplinary strengths of the university and strive to make further contributions to the goal of building a top comprehensive university in the province”.

Goal of Training

According to the Chinese training goal for the undergraduate medical students ,and the international demands as well as the needs of the international students’ countries ,we shall educate and train them into qualified professionals ,who can do clinical ,teaching and research work in medical care institutions .

The curriculum is of 4 years of Clinical Course followed by 1 year of Internship. Studying of Chinese Language compulsory for facilitating effective interaction during clinical period in hospitals and comfortable stay in China.

Clinical medicine courses include two parts:

Internship

Internship for one year is carried out by medical council of respective country in different department of hospital in a rotation basis.

Graduation and Degree

The students majoring in clinical medicine who complete all the required courses and pass all the examinations as well as pass HSK6 are entitled to graduate and they are also award bachelor’s degree in medicine in accordance with the academic degree regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
