    Fcps1 passing criteria

    dear doctors,can some one tell how much is the passing percentage of fcps1.with best regards.

    well there is no definite or fixed passing percentage, but it depends on the merit of the particular examination in particular subject area. e.g. if 10 PG trainees are required in anesthesia from an examination center, then the top 10 candidates will be successful, if the 10th candidate has 50% marks so the merit will be 50% in anesthesia of that particular examination center !

    Dr Watson what is generally the requirement to appear in 1st part of FCPS? I mean how many months or years we have to get trained in the branch we are interested to specialize? For example if one is interested in medicine what are the general requirements? Thank you so much.
