Dr Watson please give your valuable tips about hj, whether 1 should do in big setups or small setups like DHQ teaching hospitals can be good too, whch books needed and what should be in focus???

 

Better to do in big setups as you will have good exposure for practice, small hospitals with no rush wont give you many opportunities to practice skills. Yes DHQ hospitals would be good as patients are in good number there.
BOOKS: I preferred |CMDT (Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment) for Medicine and i recommend Current Diagnosis and Treatment for surgery and CPDT for pediatrics.
For ECG, ECG made easy is very good small book to get a working knowledge for ECG.
One has ones own choices and that is my choice
Your seniors will also help you in this regard in your ward.
