JazakAllah Khair for the information. This is indeed a very useful thread. I appreciate all the people who are making effort to answer our queries. I am a fresh MDS (Prosthodontics) passout, I want to know if 1 year experience is mandatory to apply for SCFHS license? I had my schooling done from Riyadh. Thank you in advance

Thanks
As you are KSA resident, usually you do not need experience and can get regular job after doing house job. First thing needed is a housejob if you haven't done yet

Hello, I am new here.
I passed the technician exam last december 30,2018 and then the transition happens from mumaria to mumaris plus. When I register to mumaris plus they asked me again to take the specialist exam. I already had the technician so I dont need the specialist exam. I did not also make the schedule for the specialist exam. IS it okay if I just ignore the eligibility number for the specialist. Anyway I am registered technician now.

If you are in Saudi Arabia, you should visit nearest MOH head office mumaris section to clarify about this.

Last december 30,2018 i had my exam in prometric at saudi arabia.that time I am registered in mumaris. After a week I will submit my papers for registration and the new system arise ( mumaris plus). Then the officer there told me to sign my same email in mumaris plus and I did it. They I entered again classification. Because I dont know anything in the new system that time. Then, they charged me 900 to complete the classification and gave me new eligibility number for exam on specialist. The problem is I finished the exam and need only registration but when I entered the system they gave me new process and did not detect that I have the exam. Now, I finally registered as technician but my problem is I will not use the eligibility number to take the exam. I dont need the specialist exam they charged me 900 riyals. What should I do? Is it okay to leave it not refunded?

You should get refund, that's why I told you to go to the headoffice at earliest and sort out the matter

Or is it okay if I just take the exam? Then after that when I renew I will be specialist? Because when I go to the office they tell me to just take the exam. Because If I dont want the exam I need to write tawasul and it will take time.

That can be the option, to take the exam if you are prepared for that. If that's specialist exam then you should be specialist after clearing it, provided you have the experience requirements fulfilled.

Yes because, upon classification they classified me as specialist. Maybe I have the requirements satifying the classification. The reason I refused to take it is because I already took the examination for technician and I only need registration. If this is the case I cannot ignore the eligibility id they given me as specialist then I should take the exam.

Hi DrWatson, do you know if Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree is accepted as an alternate to Bachelor degree in medical laboratory?

If you are asking about Saudi Arabia then I am afraid that there are less chances that it would be accepted. If there is any job offer you can try submitting your docs and see if your luck plays some role :)

Dear DrWatson
1.I wanted to know the documents that need to be submitted for New qualification study in mummaris plus.
I don’t understand what some of them are. I am attaching a picture underlining the ones I couldn’t understand.
2. If I have gap years in my work experience will I have to go back to India and get experience if so for how long?
3. I have completed internship in 2016 and on and off worked in India for a total of 8months spread over a period of 4 years (due to some health issues) but have not worked since. My latest work experience was 2 months in 2020

Hi Dears,
It is really a great platform to obtain information regarding SCHS registration.
I want to discuss my issue, if anybody can guide me in this regard.
I am registered as a general dentist in Saudi Arabia. Later I completed my masters studies in 2015. I moved back to Saudi Arabia and they told me that i need experience in my speciality for registering as an orthodontist. I continued my practice on my general dentist license. Recently i came to know that I can register as a Resident even without an experience. Is that really true? If so then what is the procedure?
Thank a lot. With best regards.

Hi,
You need your qualification, academic summary (from medical college/University showing teaching hours for each subject, if that's available) internship certificate, experience certificates.
For gap in professional experience, I suggest you to get one year continuous experience in a department as they require one year post house job experience to be eligible for job in KSA (because you don't have continuous experience)
That will increase your chances of getting job there.

Hi
As you are already registered there as a general dentist, you should submit your postgraduate certificate to MOH (visit nearest MOH office with your docs). They will assess the documents and let you know about your eligibility to be a specialist. Usually you need to have two years experience (in your home country) after your postgraduate to be eligible to work as a specialist OR two years of supervised experience as a Resident (in KSA) after your postgraduate to be eligible as a specialist.
I hope you got the point.

Hi! I have done MPHIL in Counselling Psychology and have applied for dataflow. Once the results are in, do you reckon I will be able to get classification for Psychologist? The minimum requirement is bachelors in Clinical Psychology.

Hi, yes you could get classified as clinical psychologist, after passing prometric exam. For that you need to apply to Mumaris to get eligibility for the exam once data flow has been done.

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention that I don't have a license (Pak doesn't issue). In that case what should I use?
