They demand that you must complete at least 3 months General medicine, 3 months general surgery, and next six months in your chosen specialty not more than four months and not less than 2 months in any department. Consecutively!

The req subjects are also mentioned on the IMC website. They are very particular about subject titles.

House job (internship ) is only for those who have completed mbbs from Ireland uk or other EEA states.

For postgraduate training you first have to clear PRES and then apply in Trainee Specialist Registration section. Once you get registered, then will you be able to start your training

    https://www.medicalcouncil.ie/Information-for-Doctors/Examinations-/

Should give most of your req information.

Pres exemption is a route taken by those who wish to practice medicine as general practitioners in Ireland after having done HJ in Pakistan.

If you take the pres, you may apply for the trainee division that allows you to apply for residencies in Ireland.

As far as I know, HJ is only required for Pres Exemption (I.e. practice as a GP )

To get details on PRES, kindly visit the links on the website i posted. It will give the best picture.

    To be short.

    PRES is three parts:
    1 .Document verification
    2. Written exam BCQs
    3. Clinical Exam

    Again, the link has details.
