4. What is difference between L.S.M.F and R.M.P?

L.S.M.F stands for Licentiate of State Medical Faculty, (had been issued till 2007, after than its not issued any more) and was not equal to R.M.P, having limitations that one could not do Govt. job, House Job, or further studies in Pakistan. One could do private practice in private hospitals or in one's own clinic.

LSMF was previously issued by PMDC to the graduates having less than 60% marks in FSC, but its no longer issued by PMDC in any circumstances. The graduates getting admission in foreign countries with less than 60% FSC marks, after 2007, are not eligible to appear in PMDC Exam.

R.M.P stands for Registered Medical Practitioner, and one having R.M.P can do house job, any Govt. job and postgraduate studies in Pakistan. After passing PMDC exam, one will get Provisional R.M.P which will be converted to Full R.M.P after doing one year house job in any recognized hospital by PMDC. After getting Full R.M.P, one can decide to go for Govt. job or private job.

5. What is the procedure for getting registration by PMDC, if I also have done Post graduation along with M.B.B.S/M.D. from any foreign country?

If you are not already registered by PMDC, the procedure for getting registration is given on Graduates Info page. After getting registered by PMDC, you can submit PMDC-VI Application form (available in downloads section of this site and also on PMDC site), along with your Master degree and related documents for recognition on individual merit. PMDC will verify your documents from the concerned authorities (Your university, Embassy of Pakistan in that country, Ministry of Education of that country, and Foreign office of that country etc). This process may take a whole year, so you can submit your post graduation documents while doing your House job. After your documents got verified, you will be contacted and the next procedure will be carried out. That might be just an interview or an exam, it is decided by the PMDC, because it is on individual merit.
You can contact PMDC for further details about it.

6. Can an MBBS Student/Graduate do a private job if not registered with PMDC?

Well, Absolutely not, any one who has not got FULL Registration with PMDC (after doing house job) can't do any kind of medical practice any where in Pakistan, according to the Law. One who does so is doing it illegally and it also doesn't go in the favor of the patients.
